Richard A. Whiting (1891–1938) was an American composer and songwriter whose work became part of the Great American Songbook. He wrote numerous popular songs for vaudeville, Broadway, and Hollywood, including The Japanese Sandman, Ain’t We Got Fun? and Hooray for Hollywood.
